How our Diaper Service Works
To start your baby on our service, just give us a call and sign up! It’s that easy. Once a week, we will exchange your soiled diapers for a fresh supply in a clean, fresh pail liner.
Initially, the Better Bottoms van will come to your home and drop off one weeks worth of pre-fold cloth diapers to your doorstep. In addition to your pre-determined number of diapers (see the age chart below for suggested number of diapers), with your start-up package you will receive a diaper pail, 2 water-proof pail liners much like a laundry bag, a deodorant disk, a Snappi, a small water-proof bag for away-from-home use, a box of baking soda and a cloth diapering hand guide.

There is never a need to rinse or dunk your diapers, as we do all the dirty work. Simply dump or shake off excess poop into the toilet. If your baby is exclusively breastfed, you can skip this step, as their soft, unformed poop is washed out easily during our multi-step, sanitizing process. This is also the case for any extremely soft poop your baby may have during an illness or teething.
Again, we ask that you NEVER wash, rinse or dunk your diapers at home. It can stain or damage the pre-fold diapers.
On your designated pick-up day, simply leave the dirty diapers in the washable pail liner in a predetermined spot at your home. And that’s it! Your part in the diaper cleaning process is done! The Better Bottoms van will come to your home and pick up the dirty diapers, replacing them with fresh, clean diapers inside a fresh, clean pail liner.
For the first pickup after your initial delivery, the Better Bottoms van will again leave the number of diapers you’ve ordered in a clean pail liner. From your second delivery on, we will return only the number of diapers you returned the week before.
For example, if you’ve ordered 70 diapers, your initial delivery will be 70, and your 2nd delivery will again be 70 diapers. You will then have 140 diapers in the rotation. If on the second week you return 65 dirty diapers, your 3rd delivery will be 65 diapers, and so on…
If you begin to notice that your baby is using fewer diapers each week, then your baby is growing and you’re one step closer to potty training! Great Job! In this case, simply contact us 2 days before your scheduled delivery day and we will decrease or increase, your number of diapers in the rotation as needed.
If you ever need to add additional items to your order such as diaper covers, wipes, or cloth wipes, simply contact us 2 days before your delivery day and we will leave them with your scheduled delivery.
